January

I haven't mentioned that Sequoia keeps getting sick, we went up to mum's for a long weekend and she was quite ill the entire time, and then was sick again in january, and again in Feb, in December she had an adverse reaction to her immunisations and is going through a similar but not so bad reaction to her next jabs at the moment. Poor love, she hasn't had a full week with out some kind of illness or cold. But she is a trroper and through it all is learning to walk! She pushes a little wagon around the kitchen with lovely wobbly steps, she hasn't taken a free step yet but has stood up without holding on to anything. She is an incredibly adventurous baby and is constantly climbing, tumbling, crawling and cruising furniture. Jasper loves the fact that they can now play together so much more but her added mobility had increased her powers of destruction and poor J has had many a game destroyed by his curious little sister.

For the Australia day weekend towards the end of January the kids and I flew down to stay with jess and Sup. We had such a great time! It was wonderful to be back in Melbourne, it feels like a lifetime ago that I was pregnant with Jasper and we lived in this southern city.

We walked everywhere which was a welcome change from our car dependancy in Sydney. Jasper loved pushing his sister about in the pram.

And she did her best to push him as well!

Jasper cooked with supratim, the made the most delicious chapartis as well as chocolate cupcakes (here)

And Sequoia played with her uncle Supratim.

Much music was enjoyed.

And enjoyed.

We visited and beach with Jess and Sasha, a short stroll from Jessi and Supratims' apartment. We even went for a swim, even though it was windy.

Sand or sea Sequoia is in her element.

By the end of each day, poor aunty jess was EXHAUSTED!!

We had some other lovely trips in Jan, a few days at the beach before the weather got cold again, and we drove up to our friend Craig's parent's place on the NSW central coast for a lovely long day to see a backyard circus performance by family friends who come back home for christmas each year from the UK. J was entranced.
