Legoland

Yesterday Ely and I, Jasper and Sequoia went to Legoland in Billund, Denmark.

(excuse me are those your real socks?)
Jasper was sooo excited he danced along the street.

The first section of the park was miniature worlds all made of lego.

There was also the Singapore airlines 747 we flew to Denmark on!

It took almost two hours to get there, walk, bus, train and coach from the island of Fyn where we are staying in Odense to the mainland Jutland to the city of Billund, via Viyle. Ely had arrived at midnight from England the previous evening so this was her first day in Denmark.

Jasper the excellent driver - in control and ready to roll!
There were rides galore, Jasper drove a car, went on his first rollercoaster and we all went on a lego safari.

Sequoia and I went on the Safari twice. Here is Sequoia with El looking at the giraffes.

Jasper was in the front seat for his first speedy ride!

Which he loved and tried each scarry ride he was big enough for after that. Here he and El are in the spinning teacup ride. I had had too much buffet for lunch so a few of these rides Sequoia and I played to the side.

Sequoia was not to be outdone...

Even Sequoia got right into the mood, she loved the boat ride as she steered past the capitol building, acropolis and a couple of ducks!!

Sequoia map-read so that we could see everything - which we did!
And Jasper enjoyed every second of it!

There was even a room to make some lego and this is Jasper's train.

The park closed at five but we could have stayed a bit more. We then went and grabbed a few souveniers (some lego for the trip home) and decided to find some dinner before catching the coach-train-taxi this time back to Odense

Jasper doning a drawing puzzle on the train before he and his little sister decided table dance!!

past the seaside town of middlefart

arriving back around 10pm - just after dark!
This morning my grotty children had baths and showers!
Here is Miss Sequoia in the kitchen sink.

Her love of shoes is still strong. The other day in Odense she cried when I walked past a shoe shop and didn't stop - I had to go back and let her look at everything!
"OOoh new shoes"

"Now you just put one foot in like..."

"Ta da"

We had a slow day today, it was sunny and mild and we took the kids down to the river, fed the ducks and had lunch at a restaurant by the lake.
This is the forest at the end of our street where the river is.

Jasper playing on the grass

Kids together

Els and Sequoia watching the ducks (after Sequoia ate the bread instead!)

A lovely fat duck (they weren't really that hungry anyway)

Danish meal of meatballs and potatoes, with colouring books!

Very easy and pleasant! The we came back and played in the garden before a dinner of microwaved pasta, danish cheese and salad. There are no cooking applianced except a microwave and we are getting quite creative with our potions!
