London.

We stayed in the youth hostel which was great, but unfortunately Sequoia became sick our first day and was miserable for our English leg - although she perked up for many sights.

Day one we walked down to the British museum. Retracing Zoran's steps through the old streets of Camden. Jasper enjoyed the kid's interactive material and tried to take Budda's pose. Sequoia loved the wooden Jungle iconography. n the way back home we stopped off at a park in one of London's squares.

The next day, while Sequoia and I were a bit under the weather, we decided to go down to the Thames and see the Tate, Modern and British. The Kids had a great time and I got to see some great art. They chased each other around the outside of the museum while we all exited due to a fire alarm! A few hours later all of east london was closed down due to the discovery of an old WW2 bomb! Luckily this did not disrupt the tube back to the hostel, and in for another night of nursing Sequoia from dark to light.

Our last day in London we caught up with Polly. Due to road closures the 40 minute bus ride (double decker red bus of course) took almost 2 hours, and just as Polly was about to give up on seeing us Zoran ran into her in the forecourt of the Natural History museum and we went to have a coffee and chat on the grass before going into a fabulous butterfly exhibition. there was a maze to walk through and interact with before entering the heated bufferfly house full of fluttering jewels, giant tailed moths and the heavy humidity that is butterfly habitat.

The kids were very cute pupas, and our resident spiders loved the web, especially our tiniest climber!

All types of butterflies surrounded us, and polly was blessed with a butterfly which landed on her and didn't want to leave her.

That afternoon we took the train to Bath. It was so great to see Polly and a shame we were sick and couldn't see more of her, or see Don this visit.
