Christmas

Jasper's preschool had a lovely christmas get together (with a jumping castle!) and a visit from Santa, both Jasper and Sequoia had a cuddle with the big red man.





We had a lovely family christmas with Jessi Supratim and Tanya all staying here in the house for the week,

plenty of cooking



eating (Zoran made his first ever attempt at traditional Macedonian christmas muznik.



and play - very happy kiddies!



Zoran's new nephew Thonas was christened into the Catholic faith - here is zoran's family (I am taking the pic, Zoran's sister in law Anita is Catholic)




We eventually had a day warm enough for a swim, which our tiny ball of energy loved!



And Sequoia got her first top tooth - a lovely fang - which were balanced out by the other three top teeth on the last day in December and New years day and the day after - pop,pop,pop.


We also finally had our driveway poured ready for Zoran to spend all January weekends and every day after work building retaining walls with his dad and my dad.

Birthday month

December, christmas and Sequoia's first birthday - what a big month.

Sequoia's birthday was celebratated with a little party of family and mother's group friends. It was so good to reach one year - it has been such a hard year and with so many changes, Sequoia had such a rough beginning that it is so lovely to look at her now and see such a well, thriving baby - who now has teeth, and can crawl!!







Her celebration was a morning tea, and cupcakes - due to her egg allergy she had a piece of soft bread with icing - and was a very happy baby as it was her first taste of sugar!




Jessi came up for the weekend before her birthday and we had a lovely time all playing together.





The kids cousins, twins Christian and Alexander came for the little party had fun playing with Jasper and with Sequoia. (Jasper's old music machine/one man band - his first birthday present all that time ago from mother's group -is still a huge hit with the kids and especially with his little sister.



The next day Juliana and Daniella, Zoran's nieces came up to say happy birthday and have a play, while Trene (Zoran's brother) helped Zoran fit a huge steel support on the front balcony. The all had a ball with dress ups.



We have also been working on the driveway - we hoped to have it done before Sequoia's birthday but we have had a very cold wet summer and the concrete pour was held up 6 weeks due to rain!!



Here is the final earthworks.



We hired a roller mauch to Jasper's delight, which Zoran fearlessly drove up and down (over and over) the driveway cutting to compress the soil - a mix of pockets of sand and clay.



Jasper loved his chance to be up high in the roller which was four times his size!
